Bristol Beaufort

On 11 January 1943, RAAF Mark VA Bristol Beaufort, A9-160, lost brake pressure while landing at Bairnsdale airfield causing the aircraft to ground-loop. The pressure line to a gauge came adrift from the control column causing the loss of pressure. The crew of this aircraft were as follows:-

F/O R.W. Fox
Sgt. R.H. Finlay
Sgt. C.C. Baynes
Sgt. W.H. Flowers

This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in November 1942. The aircraft was converted to components after this crash.
