CRASH OF A BRISTOL BEAUFORT
AT BAIRNSDALE

Bristol Beaufort

On 9 April 1943, RAAF Mark VA Bristol Beaufort A9-153 crashed during a night take-off at Bairnsdale airfield. The crew of this aircraft were as follows:-

P/O G.F. Gadson
Sgt. K.A. Jolly
Sgt. J. Williams
Sgt. M.R. Laundrey

This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in October 1942. It was converted to components after this crash.
