Bristol Beaufort

RAAF Mark VI Bristol Beaufort, A9-72, groundlooped on landing at 1 OTU Bairnsdale in Victoria, due to brake failure on 14 November 1942.

The crew of this aircraft were as follows:-

P/O W.H. Wade
P/O K.H. Jamieson
Sgt. K.H. Penlung
Sgt. N.J. Alexander

This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in June 1942. It was authorised for writeoff in May 1948 and was eventually struck off charge in August 1949.
