AT SEA IN THE BAIRNSDALE AREA, VIC
ON 7 FEBRUARY 1943

Bristol Beaufort

RAAF Mark VI Bristol Beaufort, A9-70, was lost at sea on a seaward operational training flight out of Bairnsdale airfield on 7 February 1943.

The crew of this aircraft were all killed. They were as follows:-

Sgt. P.E. Goldsmid (pilot)
Sgt. M.B. Davey (observor)
Sgt. R.N. McDonald (Wireless Air Gunner)
Sgt. C.J. Keith (Wireless Air Gunner)

This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in June 1942.
