WRECKAGE OF A P-39 AIRACOBRA
LOCATED 2.5 MILES NORTH OF USHER POINT

On an unknown date, wreckage of a USAAF P-39 Airacobra, was located 2.5 miles north of Usher Point, 1/2 mile inland off the coast.

It is not clear whether this could be one of the many Airacobras which forced landed on either 26 April 1942 (9 lost) or 1 May 1942 (six lost).
