WRECKAGE OF AN A-20 HAVOC
LOCATED 6.5 MILES NORTH OF PORTLAND ROADS

On 1 May 1942, the wreckage of a USAAF A-20 Havoc was located on the mud flats, 6.5 miles north of Portland Roads. The "Aircraft Crash Sites - Australia" list shows two B-17 Flying Fortresses (Crash No. 350 and Crash No. 351) being located at the same spot on the same date.
