RAAF Spitfire, A58-103 (BS305), of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by P/O M.J. Green, crashed while landing at Guildford airfield in Western Australia on 20 November 1944. There was a strong cross wind, which lifted a wing, causing the Spitfire to run off the runway and tip over on its nose. The aircraft then fell back heavily to the ground. There was considerable damage caused to the aircraft.
