A USAAF B-18 Bolo made a forced landing on Kearney's farm in about December 1942 after it became lost. During the landing the aircraft sustained damage to one of its wheels and was at Kearney's Farm until January 1943. The plane apparently ripped off a wheel on some rocks in the paddock when it landed. The crew had Christmas Dinner with the Kearney family.

Kearney's Farm is about 4 miles east of Kumbia, in southern Queensland. Garry Kearney is trying to find some records of the accident. Garry advised that it was not reported in the local papers.
