CRASH OF AN B-26 MARAUDER
ON NORTH STRADBROKE ISLAND, QLD

B-26 Marauder
A USAAF B-26 Marauder, #41-17553 of the 40th Bomb Squadron of the 22nd Bomb Group crashed on a beach on North Stradbroke Island near Brisbane in Queensland in about October 1942. There were no injuries to personnel on board.
This B-26 had earlier been flown by Capt. Chambliss Keith in Hawaii on 3 October 1942.
