OF THE  AUSTRALIAN ARMY
IN AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER 1939

Headquarters for the 8th Military District (included the Mandated Territory of New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and the New Hebrides) of the Australian Army in September 1939 was located in Rabaul, New Britain. There were no Military Units located in this district by Mandate.
